The Values to Votes website was established in August, 2025 and plans to continue to add content as it develops. 

Politically Independent and Volunteer Managed

Values to Votes is not affiliated with any political party or candidate. It is value-based and not partisan. It is operated by volunteers and self-financed by them. It does not seek or accept outside contributions. No animals were injured or destroyed in creating it.  

Sponsorship

Values to Votes is an initiative of the Grassroots Iowa Network (GIN), itself directed to showcasing and supporting the efforts in Iowa of grassroots champions. GIN is committed to creating new dialogues about Iowa’s future and government’s role in ensuring children, families, and communities thrive. 

Curation

Charlie Bruner, former Iowa state legislator and founding director of a nonpartisan child policy organization and current child and family policy analyst and advocate, is the curator of the website. Charlie can be reached at: bruner@childequity.org.
